Michael Rice

Michael has extensive experience in the financial services industry both in Australia and overseas. He specialises in providing strategic advice to financial institutions, fund managers, government agencies, industry associations and large superannuation funds. Michael founded the firm in December 1987.
He has led several major projects at Rice Warner including the integration of ARF and STA to form AustralianSuper, and the recent merger of First State Super and Health Super.
Michael has undertaken pioneering research into Age Pension dependency and trends, and has a keen interest in the integration of social security and superannuation.
Michael also heads up Rice Warner’s public policy work. We provide detailed submissions on most relevant government inquiries and pending legislation. He writes and speaks frequently on topical issues affecting the funds management, life insurance and superannuation industries.
